Join John Armytage and Craig Williams for a 4-day / 3-night photography workshop exploring the stunning coastal landscapes of Crescent Head and South West Rocks. This workshop is designed for photographers of all levels, combining breathtaking seascapes with expert tuition to help you refine your skills and creative vision.

You’ll learn how to master composition, shoot dramatic seascapes in changing light, and capture long exposures of waves and rocky coastlines. With small group sizes, you’ll receive personalised guidance and hands-on feedback to take your photography to the next level.

Over four days, you’ll photograph some of the most spectacular coastal scenery on the NSW Mid North Coast. Each location has been carefully chosen to provide a variety of compositions, from golden sunrises to moody seascapes.

Key locations include:

  • Crescent Head Lookout – famous for sweeping headland views and world-class surf.

  • Little Nobby & Back Beach – rugged rock formations perfect for dramatic sunrise photography.

  • Smoky Cape Lighthouse – perched high above South West Rocks with endless ocean vistas.

  • Trial Bay Gaol & Beach – history meets landscape with striking foregrounds for seascape shots.

Workshop Details:

  • Dates: 18–21 September 2025

  • Duration: 4 days / 3 nights

  • Group Size: Max 8 participants (min 4 required)

  • Fitness Level: Easy – most locations involve short walks, suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities.

Accommodation & Pricing:

  • 3 nights shared accommodation in Crescent Head (twin share)

  • Single supplement available for a private room (additional cost)

  • Price: $1,595 AUD

  • Focus Plus Members: $1,495 AUD

  • Deposit: $500 AUD (refundable up to 30 days prior, or if your place is filled)

  • Full Payment Due: 1 August 2025

  • Not Included: Meals, insurance, and transport

Start & Finish:

  • Crescent Head – arrive by 2:00pm Friday 19th September.

  • Departure after 10:00am Sunday 21st September.
