Overview

Capture the spectacular coastline where golden sand dunes meet the sparkling sea alongside international award-winning Australian photographer Jarrod Castaing and local expert John Armytage.

This 3-day / 2-night immersive photography workshop takes you to the stunning beaches and towering dunes of Port Stephens, just 2 hours from Sydney.
From sunrise on the coast to sunset in the dunes, you’ll be guided to the best locations at the right time, with dedicated tuition throughout.

Suitable for photographers of all levels — from beginners to professionals — this is a hands-on experience designed to inspire and refine your skills.

Workshop Highlights

Shoot locations will be carefully chosen based on cloud cover, tide, and swell conditions. Possible locations include:

Birubi Beach – sweeping sands and dramatic coastal vistas
Anna Bay Dunes – endless desert-like landscapes by the sea
Zenith Beach – a jewel between two headlands
Kingsley Beach – rugged cliffs and turquoise waters
Fishermans Bay – rock pools and textured shorelines
Shoal Bay – picturesque waters and sweeping views

Photography Tuition

Your guides, Jarrod and John, will provide:

Expert advice on composition, light, and timing
Hands-on assistance in the field
Image critique & feedback sessions (time permitting)
Techniques for DSLR, mirrorless, and drone photography
