Great Ocean Road Landscape Photography Workshop

12–17 November 2026

If you’ve ever wanted to photograph the Great Ocean Road properly — at the right times, without the rush — this one is for you.

Join Craig and Myself for a 5 night / 6 day landscape photography workshop capturing some of Australia’s most iconic coastal scenery, along with Melbourne’s city lights and waterfront.

This workshop is designed around what I know many photographers are looking for:

  • A relaxed pace

  • Minimal walking

  • Small group (just 6 guests)

  • Being in the right place at the right time

We’ll photograph sunrise and sunset each day, with plenty of time in between to rest, enjoy great food, download your images, and simply enjoy the experience.

More Relaxed Way to Photograph the Great Ocean Road

One of the biggest things I hear from photographers is:

“I still love photography… I just don’t want to be rushing around or doing long hikes.”

That’s exactly why I’ve designed this workshop the way I have.

You don’t need to walk kilometres to capture powerful images — you just need the right locations, at the right time, with the right guidance.

On this workshop you’ll experience:

  • A small group of just 6 photographers

  • 2 instructors (myself and Craig) for personal help

  • Easy-access locations with maximum photographic impact

  • A pace that allows you to enjoy the journey, not just the shots

  • Time built in to rest, recover and go through your images

This is about creating great images without the pressure.

What We’ll Capture

Over the 6 days, we’ll photograph a beautiful mix of coastal landscapes, sea stacks, beaches, waterfalls and cityscapes.

Some of the locations we’ll be visiting include:

  • Melbourne CBD reflections and night lights

  • Princes Pier at sunset

  • Hopetoun Falls in the Otways

  • Gibson Steps and Gibson Beach

  • The Twelve Apostles

  • Loch Ard Gorge

  • London Arch

  • Bay of Islands Coastal Park

  • Bay of Martyrs

Every location has been chosen for:

  • Easy access

  • Strong compositions

  • Best light direction for sunrise or sunset

We’ll be out shooting when the light is at its best — and resting when it’s not.

Comfortable, Well-Planned & Easy to Enjoy

We start and finish in Melbourne CBD, staying at a centrally located hotel close to the waterfront and city.

Workshop begins - 12th PM - Check into accomodation after 2pm - Oaks on Market (Melbourne CBD)

Workshop ends - 17th AM - Check out by 10:00am.

For the main part of the workshop, we base ourselves in Port Campbell for 3 nights, right in the heart of the Great Ocean Road region — meaning minimal driving to sunrise and sunset locations.

This makes a big difference.

Less time in the car, more time enjoying photography.

We travel in two comfortable vehicles, which allows for flexibility, space for your gear, and a much more relaxed experience overall.

Throughout the workshop there’s time for:

  • Café stops

  • Editing sessions

  • One-on-one help

  • Simply sitting back and enjoying where you are
