Christchurch

Our journey begins in Christchurch where we’ll photograph:

• Christchurch Botanic Gardens
• New Brighton Pier
• Urban and architectural scenes

Lake Tekapo & Mackenzie Country

One of New Zealand’s most photographed regions.

Highlights include:

• Church of the Good Shepherd
• Lake Tekapo shoreline
• Mount John region
• Winter landscapes throughout the Mackenzie Basin

Lake Pukaki & Mount Cook

Some of the most spectacular alpine scenery in New Zealand.

• Snow-covered mountain vistas
• Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park

Ben Ohau & Twizel

A photographer’s dream featuring:

Lindis Pass

One of the South Island’s most scenic alpine roads.

• Rolling golden tussocks dusted with frost
• Mountain backdrops

Clay Cliffs

Explore one of New Zealand’s most unique geological formations with towering clay pinnacles and dramatic landscape compositions.

Queenstown Region

Our final destination includes:

• Lake Wakatipu
• Glenorchy surrounds
• Alpine viewpoints
• Winter landscapes around Queenstown

What You’ll Learn

This workshop is designed to help you become a more confident and intentional landscape photographer.

Topics covered include:

• Understanding landscape composition
• Working with winter light and weather
• Long exposure techniques
• Using filters effectively
• Reading conditions and planning shoots
• Camera settings for landscape photography
• Creating stronger and more meaningful images
• Developing your personal photographic style

There will also be opportunities for image reviews, editing discussions and one-on-one mentoring throughout the tour.
