New Zealand - Autumn Colours & Culinary Photography Workshop
Lake Alexandrina - NZ
Written by John Armytage
Previously in New Zealand , we had the incredible opportunity to explore New Zealand’s South Island on one of our most memorable photography workshop tours. Autumn in New Zealand is simply enchanting – golden leaves glowing in the valleys, crisp air in the mornings, and snow starting to dust the towering mountains. Every location we visited offered something new and inspiring, and the images we captured were nothing short of breathtaking.

From the mirror-like reflections of Lake Tekapo and Lake Alexandrina, to the dramatic peaks of Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, and the stunning lakes and valleys around Queenstown and Wanaka, each day was filled with adventure, learning, and creativity. We chased light at sunrise, experimented with long exposures at sunset, and shared plenty of laughs along the way. The camaraderie of the group, combined with the world-class landscapes, made this workshop an unforgettable experience.

And let’s not forget the food! After long days of photography, sitting down together for hearty meals was the perfect way to unwind, share stories, and relive the highlights of the day.

Looking back at this workshop adventure reminds us why we keep returning to New Zealand – it truly is one of the best destinations in the world for landscape photography. The combination of stunning scenery, vibrant autumn colours, snow-capped peaks, and a fun, supportive group makes it a dream trip for photographers of all levels.
Always having Fun on our Workshops
